“Value is always created when you experience passion and performance. Business Excellence Architects was engaged by Fonterra to design and implement the Information Services Quality System and define the “way we do things around here” across a number of other functions. Not only did they contribute simple but effective tools and templates but also enthusiastic leadership in the pursuit of excellence”.
Marcel van den Assum, CIO Fonterra. (I.T.)
"Grant is one of those cherished individuals you so rarely find in business who can genuinely translate theory into practice, and strategic thinking into real business results. He has the singular ability to be able to do this himself, or more beneficially in coaching and leading others to do so – and in the process bringing about significant business improvements and creating highly successful business outcomes."
Rob Ellis COO, Amplefuture (Telco-UK)
"BEA has provided strategic and process advice that has been enormously useful in our journey of discovery and business transformation. The process mapping skills and continuous improvement tools are world class and the critical thinking capability has greatly helped us to understand and change our whole business paradigm. I would happily recommend Grant Ford to anyone who is engaged in serious large scale change management"
John Ashby, General Manager Gilmours (FMCG)

Our service is an internal, external partnership...
because sometimes the external voice is louder than the internal one - and neither on its own makes a chorus.
Business Excellence Architects is the consultancy parent of Know How Managers. Our fundamental belief is that consultancy should also be about process and capability transfer to the client organization. We also recognize after all these years that their are things we can bring and experience we have that our clients have in short supply.
We have a complete performance excellence change suite and a track record for wielding it. BusX + CPP + TurboSigma + M4Ds +IPPreserver = world class benchmarked, continuous planning, continuous improvement, real time measurement and decision making and IP, knowhow and share value management.

Transpower NZ Limited and BEA worked from 2006 to 07 to identify business process changes and improvements in the areas of the Capital Works Programme and Asset Performance Improvements. The capital spend has grown from a base line of $90 mil per year a few years ago and is now targeting $500+ million per year with a 10 year programme of $5 billion investments in grid replacements, enhancements, customer connections, and major grid reinforcement. BEA worked with the Asset Works Planning team and stakeholders across the planning, projects, and asset management functions to define the required changes. This thinking clearly defined the need for a programme management function to be established and the foundation work on the required business process changes and system/tools to support the function was put in place.... It is expected that Transpower will continue to use BEA techniques to identify and improve other areas of its business in the future. "TurboSigma showed us how to use the information at hand and our own people's knowledge to identify priority problem areas and get quickly to developing a solution with good results. Once learned, we found these techniques could be used with minimum guidance ... however, we have found that BEA continued involvement provides us with just the right level of guidance and support to move forward on this approach progressively in new areas of the business.
Greg Borichevshy Asset Strategy Manager Transpower NZ Limited- (Utility)
